Asked and answered.

Everything people ask before booking, including the two that matter legally: where shisha can be served in Ontario, and who can be near it.

$65 per hookah for a three-hour event, attendant included. Five hookah minimum. Extra hours are $20 per hookah per hour. Travel is free across Toronto, Mississauga, Oakville and Brampton, and $50 beyond that.

  • Can you set up indoors?

Not in an enclosed public place or workplace — the Smoke-Free Ontario Act, 2017 prohibits it, and that includes bars, restaurants, banquet halls and their patios where a roof and walls enclose the space. What works: private residences, backyards, rooftops, open-air terraces, marquees with at least two open sides, and licensed venues with a compliant outdoor area. If you tell us the venue we will tell you straight away whether it is workable, before you pay anything.

  • Is there an age requirement?

Yes. 19+, no exceptions — that is the legal smoking age in Ontario and it applies to herbal shisha exactly as it does to tobacco. Our attendants check ID on site and will refuse service to anyone who cannot produce it. Under-19s at the event are not a problem in themselves; the hookah area simply has to be one they stay out of, and we will help you set that boundary when we set up.

  • How far in advance should I book?

Two to three weeks for a Saturday in summer; a few days is often fine midweek. Our hard floor is 48 hours — inside that the calendar stops accepting the date, because we cannot get coals, kit and staff to you properly on less notice.

  • What happens if it rains?

Hookahs run fine under cover — a gazebo, a marquee, a covered terrace. If there is no cover and the forecast turns, we will call you the day before and you can move to any other date in the next six months at no charge. We do not keep your deposit because of weather.

  • How does the deposit work, and can I cancel?

A 30% deposit confirms the date; the balance is due on site the night of the event. Cancel more than 48 hours before your start time and half the deposit is refunded. Inside 48 hours the deposit is not refunded — at that point the coals, the kit and the staff for your night are already committed.

  • Do attendants stay for the whole event?

Yes. One attendant per six hookahs, on site for the full booking — managing coals, changing flavours on request, cleaning heads between guests. You can book drop-off instead if you would rather run it yourselves, and the price comes down accordingly.

  • How quickly will you get back to me?

Within 10 minutes, in practice — that is the response time we hold ourselves to, and it is why the quote builder gives you a real number on the spot rather than promising a callback. We take bookings 24/7, by phone, WhatsApp or through the form.

  • What time do you arrive?

Half an hour before your start time, fully equipped. Setup is done and the first heads are lit before your guests are looking for them, and pack-out at the end is ours — everything leaves with us.

  • Where do you travel?

Across the Greater Toronto Area. Mississauga and Etobicoke carry no travel fee; Toronto, Brampton and Oakville a small one; Vaughan, Markham, Burlington and the extended GTA more. Enter your postcode in the builder and the exact figure appears — no ranges, no "call us".

  • Is it tobacco or herbal?

Both — your choice, confirmed at booking. Tobacco shisha is the traditional product and contains nicotine. Herbal is tobacco-free and nicotine-free, made from sugarcane or tea leaf; the flavour is close and plenty of guests prefer it. You can run both at the same event on different hookahs. Either way the 19+ rule applies, because Ontario's smoking age is not about the nicotine.

  • What is actually included in the price?

Everything except the balance on the night. The rate covers the hookahs, the setup, an attendant on site for the whole event, all the coals and coal changes, flavour swaps whenever you want them, fresh hoses and hose hygiene, and the full pack-out afterwards. There is no equipment-only option and no separate attendant fee — we do not leave a hookah with anyone and walk away.

  • How many hookahs do we need?

About one per nine guests is the ratio that keeps nobody waiting, so fifty guests is usually six. Five hookahs is our minimum booking whatever the headcount. The quote builder suggests a number from your guest count and you can move it up or down — it is a suggestion, not a rule, and you know your crowd better than a calculator does.

  • Do you need anything from us on the day?

Somewhere outdoors or properly ventilated to set up, and a flat surface. We bring our own everything else — no power, no water, no furniture needed. If the setup is up a flight of stairs, through a service lift or a long way from where we can park, tell us at booking so we build the extra time in rather than discovering it on the night.

  • Can we pick the flavours on the night?

Yes. You can choose in advance in the Mix Lab, or leave it and decide when we arrive — your attendant carries the full menu either way. Up to three flavours go in a single hookah at once, and they can be changed as often as you like through the event at no extra cost.

  • What if more guests turn up than we booked for?

The hookahs we brought are the hookahs we have, so an extra ten people means more sharing rather than more equipment. Nothing is charged retroactively for a bigger turnout. If you genuinely expect the number to move, book for the higher figure — it is far easier to have one hookah spare than to be one short.

  • Do you work in winter?

Yes, and the same law applies in January as in July: outdoors or properly ventilated, whatever the temperature. In practice that means marquees, covered terraces and garages with the door up. Cold does not affect the setup, and the coals are, if anything, more welcome. Tell us the space and we will tell you whether it works.

  • Do you carry insurance?

Ask us before you book and we will confirm in writing what we hold. Plenty of venues require a certificate from every vendor before load-in, so if yours does, send us the venue contact early and we will deal with them directly rather than leaving it to the day.
