How we run weddings
A wedding is the one booking where the hookah is never the main event, and that is exactly how we run it. The setup goes up while the reception is still inside, so the first guests who step out find it already lit rather than watching three people assemble it in black tie. Your attendant stays at the station all night and works quietly — coals changed, flavours swapped, hoses replaced between guests — without ever becoming part of the programme.
The venue question is the one to settle first, and it is worth settling before you pay anyone. The Smoke-Free Ontario Act means we cannot set up in an enclosed space, and a marquee with all four sides down counts as enclosed. Terraces, courtyards, gardens, poolside and covered areas with two open sides all work. Send us the venue name and we will tell you what is possible there before you book, not after.
Wedding guest lists span three generations, so the 19+ rule needs a boundary rather than an announcement. We place the station where under-19s are not walking through it, and the attendant checks ID without making a scene of it. Most weddings we run take 5-10 hookahs; the ratio that keeps nobody queuing is about one per nine guests, and the rate is $65 per hookah.

Can you set up at our venue?
If there is an outdoor or genuinely open-sided area, almost certainly. Enclosed banquet halls and their fully covered patios are prohibited under the Smoke-Free Ontario Act, 2017, regardless of what the venue tells you. Terraces, gardens, courtyards, poolside and marquees with at least two open sides all work. Tell us the venue and we will confirm before you pay a deposit.
When should the shisha start?
Usually as the formal part ends — after dinner and speeches, when people start moving outside. We arrive and set up before that, so it is running when the first guests arrive rather than being built in front of them. Tell us your run sheet at booking and we will work backwards from it.
Do you coordinate with our planner or venue?
Yes, and it saves everyone a conversation on the day. Give us the planner or venue contact at booking and we will sort load-in, timing and where the station goes directly with them. Most venues want to know arrival time and where our kit is going, and both are easier settled a week out than at the door.
